Review:

A brilliantly, well crafted story filled with pure terror. I was on the edge the entire time I was reading this as I curiously turned the pages. I have to admit I couldn’t bring myself to read this at night and still I was intrigued to know more, to know how the characters I had grown attached to would survive. I wouldn’t even begin to understand just what life was like behind a blindfold, the only escape from the true horrors. I could feel my heart racing and my mind unraveling at the same speed as I read. So many terrible things happened in this book that were deeply disturbing and graphic but I felt overwhelmed with sadness once I read how it happened. I could feel the fear of the mother protecting her children from whatever hunted them, the decisions she chose to make and how she kept pushing through after everything she became witness to.
