One Day (Experiences) (Poetry Block 18)

One day I’m monster

One day I’m human

One day I’m winning

One day I’m losing

One day I’m surviving

One day I’m drowning

One day I’m crying

One day I’m fighting

One day I’m in it

One day I’m not

One day I’m proving

One day I’m blah

One day I’m weaker

One day I’m on top

One day I’m stronger

One day I’m distraught

One day I’m slow

One day I’m fast

One day I’m stuck

One day I’m free

One day I’ll die

One day I’ll see

Poet’s Thoughts:

The truth about life in general is that it’s not easy, but easy at the same time. We make it how we see it. We fight with ourselves. This, myself included, is sometimes how we react to things. When you go back and forth with how you’re feeling to how the day will actually end. Is it going to be on a low note or high note? But like I said, it’s how we make the day to be. How we make ourselves to be. We can see the bad and be defeated by it or we can walk away and try again.

I love reading books as much as I love writing them. I enjoy drinking all sorts of teas and eating dark chocolate. When I need a trip back down to earth, I watch Seinfeld for comedy relief in this serious world. I'm a kid at heart that still enjoys receiving stuffed animals as gifts. I'm a Star Wars fan with the Nightmare Before Christmas as my theme music.
