Anna and the Swallow Man

Review:

A very sad, but heartfelt story of a young girl who has to experience the cruelties of war alongside a stranger, the Swallow Man. He teaches her how to survive, how she must act, how she must speak, etc. He shows her things to comfort her. Throughout their journey, you can feel the pain, fear and sadness Anna exhibits. But there is also a side of the Swallow Man that can prove to be dangerous and in times like these, who else can Anna trust. He’s really all she has. But there is hope and beauty found even in the cold heart of war.
