780 Minutes/126 Miles for Epilepsy (Year 2)

IT HAS STARTED AGAIN!!!

The 26-minute Reading Challenge is for the 1 in 26 that are diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime.

This is my second year of participating in the Reading Challenge and I’m looking forward to exceeding last year’s goal. I read 1500 minutes out of 780 minutes. This year, I will double it to 3000 reading minutes. 🙂

A Little Space

Take a break and Recharge!

Hey Fans!

Sorry it has taken awhile for me to get back here. I didn’t just need space from writing, but from everything. Sometimes I find things so overwhelming and instead of being stuck, I just pull away and take a break from everything altogether.

I had to find me time. And then use it. Sometimes that requires being distant with people and sometimes those same people don’t understand. I need a certain clarity to be able to focus on the task at hand or accept the challenge presented in front of me. For me, I require a little space.

We all need a little recharge every now and then. 🙂

And that’s okay!

So, with that being said…Don’t forget to step back and take a breather!

Happy Halloween Month & Happy World Mental Health Day!

Everyone who knows me knows that Halloween is like a second birthday. I always find a way to dress up and be as crazy looking as possible (Lol). I watch Halloween movies and have a Halloween marathon. The Nightmare Before Christmas obviously being my absolute favorite movie, obviously! (Lol)…And of course, we can’t forget the sweets!!!!

But for me, October is a month filled with a lot of special dates. I get to celebrate certain friends & family that were born in this month. Mental Illness Awareness also belongs to October (World Mental Health Day – October 10) as well as Pregnancy & Infant Loss (October 15). We also share awareness for Breast Cancer, Domestic Violence, Down Syndrome and so many others.

I also get to celebrate my Wedding Anniversary (October 20)!!!!! This year, the hubby and I are celebrating 3 years together. Yes, we’ve made it to Level 3 Player Status. 😉 We normally would be traveling to St. Augustine to celebrate as this is our traditional place to celebrate. It’s where we had our honeymoon, but we decided to do something different this year. We will not be traveling to St. Augustine but a new place, a new adventure. We also share our date with International Sloth Day and sloths happen to be my favorite animals and this was unknown to me until a year ago! Last, certainly never least is Halloween at the end of the month!!! YAY!!! Please be safe and have fun! Prayers for everyone around the world. Challenges have come and gone, and we get stronger with each trial. Together.

Supporting Small Business

Lil Rag Doll Sloth Pin, $10

Outside of writing, I’ve also been working on a small pin business. It’s called, Pin Tied Too!

My pins currently are a mix of sloth and favorite characters from movies, anime, etc. My first pin is Lil Rag Doll Sloth Pin and she’s currently in my new shop: http://pintiedtoo.bigcartel.com

I also have a few sloths pin projects underway and like all artists I could use an extra hand. I have pins from my personal collection on sale in my shop to help offset the costs of pin production. I also have 4 pre-orders in my shop: Lil Skelly Sloth pin ($8.50), Lil Frosty Sloth pin ($10.50), Lil Demon Sister Sloth pin ($10.50) and Lil Sloth Mates pin (Valentine’s Exclusive) ($13.50).

Apart from the pins, I also have Lil Rag Doll Sloth sticker strips ($3) and Lil Mental Health Sloth sticker strips ($3) for sale.

Sometimes people don’t know how to support and it’s okay to make any kind of contribution, be it big or small. Whether you buy 1 or 4 items in my shop all funds go back towards my pin business to help fund my sloth pin projects. And for that, I Thank you all!!
